This session will examine Penn’s journey to automating monthly anniversary appeals for more than 10 annual funds across campus. Well over half of NYU Steinhardt's 7,000+ students are enrolled in programs that lead to professional licensure. This educational model is founded on intensive clinical training and practice. These many educational programs require mandatory placements in schools, hospitals, and community sites across the city and around the country in diverse fields such as education, speech pathology, mental health & wellness counseling, and occupational and physical therapy. For the 130 year history of our School, the process of matching students with appropriate placement sites and appropriate mentors and then reporting on these placements has been manual, requiring a small army of employees juggling a multitude of spreadsheets and other documents. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how NYU Steinhardt is migrating the process of formulazing relationships with placement sites, placing students at placements sites, and matching students with mentors into Salesforce. We will also show how this process has improved documentation for accreditation and licensure, and enhanced reporting on the impact of these placements through Tableau.
